# 2. Study the Current Performance

Since Factiva Toggle was being developed as an active feature on the platform, a heuristic evaluation was conducted to ensure that its results addressed and responded to user frustrations. In this process, we found 2 main usability problems:

**- Position inconsistency**, the Switch buttons are located in different placements which confuse the user when they try to go back to the Classic Factiva.

**- Shape and color inconsistency**, In the old interface, is an Icon button meanwhile in the new one use a button with Icon and label that users are unable to connect them.

Such inconsistency makes it difficult for users to predict the interaction pattern, reducing cognitive load, and hindering learnability.
